The Most Important Day . . .

For Helen Keller, the most important day of her life was the day she met Anne Mansfield Sullivan, the woman who would teach her how to communicate with a world that she could not see or hear.

How would you start an essay that began "The most important day of my life was . . ."?

  1. If i had to write about the most important day of my life, I would talk about the day I graduate college. It would be the most important day of my life because that day would be the day, my life as a "real adult would start. The day where all the hard work in college has paid off and gave me an successful job. But also the day where I can start my own life and start taking care of the people who supported me my whole life, my mom.

  2. The most important day in my life would be when I graduate Medical School with a degree. I would be so proud of myself for achieving my lifetime goal and a career I have always wanted to pursue. It would be a dream come true for my parents and I because now i would have a settled career and a good life ahead that will support me all the way through. I am and always will e looking forward to that day in the hope that it will come true.

  3. The most important day of my life has yet to come, bit I think it would be the day I move out and live on my own. Which would most likely be when I am graduated from college, have a promising job as well as be financially stable to be on my own and really start my life.

  4. That’s a tough one, but I would have to say that hearing my daughters’ heartbeat for the first time through an ultra sound was the most important day of my life, and would be how I would start my essay. I’m pretty sure there are other moments that are yet to come, that may become most important in my life but up until now that, is the only moment that truly changed my entire life. In that moment I realized my whole life would be different because I no longer thought of just myself but of the person growing inside of me and how I was the one that would be responsible for the wellbeing and future of that person for the rest of my life. How mind boggling is that?! Definitely the start of that particular essay.--> yours Elena

  5. If I had to write an essay that began with "The most important day of my life was..." would probably be about the day I graduated from high school. Since I'm only a freshman in college, I'm sure I will have a more important day in my life later on in life. But, for now the day I graduated from high school meant that my high school life was over and that I needed to prepare for college! I am the oldest child in my family, so it was extremely important for me.

  6. it may sound cliche, but i think that the most important day of my life was the day of my high school graduation. in the weeks preceding the ceremony i had spent most of my time with friends i knew i would rarely have time to meet with in the future. i think on that day, as i watched the thousands of parents and family watch my class walk to our seats on the stadium field, a new level of understanding was achieved. as sad as i was to know that i wouldn't see 95% of my friends again, i knew that after that day, the real world lie waiting. it was then that i knew i had to work hard, and that it would all be worth it someday. these thoughts and the memories of that day will keep driving me to performing for years to come.

  9. If I were to write a novel starting with "the most important day of my life"
I would probably talk about the day I was born. Only because that was not only the most important day of my life but it was the start of my life without my birth I would not exist or have a story to write about. Since then Ive many important days but the last important day of my life will be my death.
