Alice in Peepland

Alice in Peepland is the Chicago Tribune's 2011 (People's choice) winner. What a misnomer! Of course, this is the Peeple's choice winner!

This is the Dispeep version, there's no Johnny Peep as the Mallow Hatter to scare the goo out of you. We can clearly see Alice as she waits for the Queen of Carnuba to wax the groundpeep through the Jackrabbit of Spades.

  1. People are very creative these days , it’s amazing what people can create with peeps. Personally they’re pretty disgusting to eat if I may be so blundt. Now though, I can see all the different things I can do with the pounds of peeps I get from my grandma every easter. Hopefully I can come up with something original that will impress her enough not to want me to eat them but just to keep them as art work. It’s hard to say with her she doesn’t view art the way I do she may just yell at me to stop playing with my food and to eat them anyways so they won’t go to waste! GAG! ---->yours, Elena.

  2. This piece is very creative. What I like about this is the blue bunnies that act as the playing card guards. The white rabbit matches perfectly with the white bunny peeps. Everyone is present, except for the Mad Hatter and March Hare.

  3. This is a great piece of art. I like how everything is made out of some type of clay material. I like how the cat is pictured on the wall, showing how he is a great adapter to change and scenery. This art must of took forever, I wonder how long it actually took to actually make this.

  4. I love Alice in Wonderland, so this was obviously my favorite of all the other peep blogs. It's so cute and also captures the movie very well. I wish I was creative enough to use something as simple as peeps, and create it into something as cool and creative as this. My favorite part of this "Alice in Peepland" piece has to be the creativity used for the bushes. I love that the person used peeps also as the hedges and the rose bushes, and also how they put candy roses in the rose bushes and painted half of the roses red. It plays true to the movie and shows that they payed attention to the smallest detail. The creativity that flows through whoever made this is amazing.

  5. This is my favorit one! I absolutely love Alice and Wonderland, when the previous movie came out I seen it the first day of releasal. My favorite thing about this picture is the flamingo as the golfing iron. There is a lot of detail within this simple picture and everything is made from the peeps, how cute. Peeps are actually not my favorite candies during Easter though. I used to, until one day I ate way too many of them and got sick when I was little.

  6. This is really funny. When I first saw it I wanted to try and figure out how the artist make this creation portraying a scene from the movie Alice and Wonderland. I wish as creative as the artist to be able to come up with this creative idea and then make the idea come to life.

  7. I have never ceen peeps used as artwork before. I love the idea of Alice in Peepland. Seeing this artwork makes me want to watch the classic movie. I like the peep detail put into the cards. I Wonder though, what does the smile in the background represent? Does is resemble the queens cat?

  8. This Alice in Peepland replica is amazing! the details for each character and the background are great! i think the Alice peep is adorbale and the Queen of Hearts peep is amazing! The blue bunnies with the cards in between them are so cute! and of course, the White Rabbit looks so tiny and adorable he is hard to ignore! great job the the artist!

  9. You can tell this piece has had a lot of time and effort put into it. From the 'grassy' background, to the percisely detailed roses on the trees, this does not seem like it was an easy project. I like how there is a slightly weird, but funny smiley face in the sky that spices up the background and does not make the piece boring; however, Peeps in clothing cannot be TOO boring without a creepy smiley face floating in the sky. I also like how the guards look more official with the playing cards as their bodies. Every character is different in their own way and that also shows how much time this project might have taken. NICE.

  10. Everything about this picture is interesting and adorable. I think every character looks exactly like the actual characters in the movie. The fact that the characters are made out of peeps is very creative and I would of never thought of something like that. I do wish there was more characters just to see experience how the other characters from Alice in Wonderland would look of a peep character.

  11. It seems that everyone is showcasing their talent now on the web. The hard work that the artist put into this must have been tremendous, from making the backdrop to creating all the different peep characters with their costumes. It would have been nice to see the mad hatter involved in this photo and how the artist would have turned him into a peep. I would love to see this artist do more of this work because it is definitely unique and enjoyable by everyone of all ages.

  12. This showcase is brilliant and colorful and playful. It can make people of all ages happy and I really support what you do. I have seen many more of these pictures, and its not just an artistic style. It takes a lot of talent and creativity to make something like this. Good job.

  13. This is defnitely something new. I know people are creative but I never thought people would create artwork out of peeps. This is so creative and cute! You can tell the artist really put a lot of work into this piece. There are so many small details from the googley eyes on the grinning cat in the background to the half painted rose on the tree to the left. I am completely amazed by this and I might just do this for fun one day as an art project.

  15. I think that this version of Alice in Wonderland is very interesting and cute! By looking at this piece you can tell they thought very long and hard about each creative aspect. It's delicious and fun!! Each time I look at this piece I notice something different, for example at first I didn't even notice the Cheshire cat hidden in the background. It must have taken this person a very long time to make each of the props. I also really enjoyed the cute little outfits this person made for each of the characters.

  16. This is extremely adorable. I truly adore these little peep story-remakes. The best part is the amount of detail the artist put into creating this peep creation. When I was little, a family friend gave me a book that was Alice in Wonderland. It was for people who couldn't see very well, since she was almost blind, the text was huge! However, I remember feeling very proud of myself for reading so fast through the pages, since there wasn't a lot of text on each page. I have always adored the story of Alice in Wonderland and the cartoon movies. I've never seen the newer movies though. One of my favorite parts was about how she was reading a book that had no pictures in it, and that book barely had any pictures in it. And that book was the first book that I read that did not have any pictures

  17. I had no idea about this! This is so artistic! Love it. I love art in general and it's amazing to see the different ways in which people are artistic. How do people come up with these things? Amazing. I really love this piece. Not only because I'm a huge Alice in Wonderland fan, but it's just so cute and creative!

  18. As I was scrolling down to see an article, I came across this creative piece. I am a peep and Disney fanatic so this portrays the film perfectly. You can tell by the detail which character is who, especially the queen of hearts and Alice. This portrays my favorite two : one where the deck of cards are painting the roses red ;which you can tell in in the background, and scene where Alice is playing a game of Crockett with queen. Overall this is an amazing Piece of Peeps, I have ever seen !

  19. This is indeed an aesthetically pleasing piece, and I don't think there is much left to say about it. However I am interested in the technical aspects of it, the roses look really good and I wonder what they are made of. Where they bought already made or did the artist make it themselves? It is indeed perplexing because I see both elements in this piece, the prefabricated hedges as opposed to the fondant clothes . Either way it is a cool piece.
