What Superpower Would You Choose?
Do you want to fly? Would you like be invisible? How about superhuman strength or X-ray vision?
My superpower of choice is to be able to speak every language in the Universe - from Elven to Italian, Mandarin to Romulan, cat to bat, and everything in between. I'd like to hear (or receive, if it's a telepathic language) everybody's story in their own language and understand all the delicate nuances intelligent beings can fashion.
Speaking of stories . . . think of the stories these guys could tell. Imagine talking to Thor in Asgardian or being able to translate all the spells from the stacks at Hogwart's (BTW - the best class EVER!).
So what superpower would you choose?

So what superpower would you choose?
If I were to choose a superpower, I would choose to have invisibility. Being invisible would give me the ultimate privacy from everyone in the world. I could walk into bank vaults & steal the money without being seen by a single person or camera. I would also be able to walk into movie theaters without paying for a ticket and watch all the movies I wanted for free. Or if I ever embarrass myself, or get put into an awkward situation, I could just turn invisible and easily walk away. I hope that I would be able to control my invisibility, because I wouldn't want to be invisible or seen at the wrong times.
ReplyDeletethe super power i would choose would be the power of knowledge. because with that i would be able to learn and know everything. i would get to understand all the languages, invent knew things and find cures for things. i think that would be the best super power because its not really a selfih power but it would also benefit others as well.
ReplyDeleteThe power I would use is teleportation. It would be awesome to be able to travel the world in a matter of seconds. I would be able to visit everything worth looking at like the Eiffel Tower in Paris or the Great Wall of China.
ReplyDeleteThe super power I would like to have would be between teleportation and mind reading. If I had both it would be great. However I'm not really into having powers. With having powers comes great responsibility and stress. Yes it would be wonderful to teleport anywhere around the world and not pay for a flight ticket and read peoples mind to better understand their thinking. Having the power to read people's mind can be stressful because some people have thoughts you don't want to listen to or that you disagree with. Responsibility than comes in. You have to take control of the power you have because you do not want to get in trouble. Powers are cool but I cant help to think of the great responsibility and stress it can come with.
ReplyDeleteThe super power i would choose is to be able to fly at a fast speed, because then I wouldn't have to spend over fifty dollars every two weeks to fill up my gas tank. Also, if I wanted to go to another state I could just fly there, but I would probably have to wear some super protective gear to protect my body while I'm flying at super fast speed.
ReplyDeleteIf I could choose a power it would be invisibility. I would use this because then i could go wherever i wanted, whenever i wanted. Like somebody said already I would be able to just walk into a bank and steal all the money I wanted without ever being caught or even bothered. If I ever got embarassed I couild just go away. I would want to be able to control this or it wouldnt be a reliable power. I think you could just have fun with this. I don't think it really benefits anybody but yourself but it would be fun to have i guess.
ReplyDeleteThe superpower I would choose to have ,ind reading. Is hard to know the human being thought. Sometime even they tell you a thought, is not the what they think. When I get into another country, I can understand what they think of me,and what they want to do to me. I would go to visit the disaster are, get their mind, and know what they want. Is not everyone a good thinker, someone would think about do bad thing to others. I can help the victims before they get suffer.
ReplyDeleteIf I could have a superpower it would have to be reading minds. It would be so much easier to know what others think when they do not want to tell you the truth about somehting. If I could read peoples minds it would also help to figure out who means well and who are just acting to be a friend, when in reality they hate you. Having this power might also help lives. If I were to incounter someone having bad thoughts I could put a stop to it and help save someones life.
ReplyDeleteMy superpower would have to be flying. It might be cliche but i would love to see the world in a different view. I am sure it would be beautiful to see cities lit up with thousands of lights and even escape the bright lights and see thousands of stars in the sky. Of course the benefits as traveling anywhere in the world and saving money would be very nice.
ReplyDeleteIf I could have any super power it would be to have the ability to have unlimited knowledge. School, work, and everything would be so much easier. I wouldn't have to worry about not knowing something. For example during a test i wouldn't freak out because they information would already be in my head. I would also be able to entertain people with any information they would like to know to help make things easy for them as well.
ReplyDeleteIf I could ever have a superpower I would have the ability to be the smartest one. This would make my life 100% much easier when it comes to school and for the future career I want to fulfill in the future. I know I would one day like to work in the medical field so having brains will come to a great advantage. If I was the smartest one I would use the knowledge to benefit the health of the people for example if i was the smartest I would find a cure for the illnesses that are yet not found like cancer it is a major issue and if i had the ability I could save the lives of many people.
ReplyDeleteIf I could choose to have any super power that I wanted it would be to be invisible. I just think that being invisible would be a lot of fun. I could steal things without being noticed or I can freak people out to make them think they are going nuts. I can also be in a magic show and actually disappear. That would be pretty amazing if you ask me. Super heroes that have this power are pretty cool they can defeat their villains easily because they can't see where they are at.
ReplyDeleteIf i had to choose a super power i would choose to be invisible. Being invisible would be cool, i could disappear from a place i did not want to be at. Also i could hear what people are saying about me without then knowing i am listening. I could be able to walk into places i could not go into. Also i could pull pranks on people by scaring them or moving items without anybody seeing me move them. Unfortunately super powers are not real but if they were life would be more exciting!
ReplyDeleteIf I could have any super power it would be flying. It would be so much easier to get around. I don't like public transportation and I don't like driving all the time so if I could fly, that would be amazing. I'm almost always running late and if I could fly I would be able to get to places faster and on time. If I wanted to travel the world, it would be free because I wouldn't have to worry about spending money on gas or a plane ticket.
ReplyDeleteIf I could have any super power, it would be to fly! I don't have a car since it is my first year in college, and flying would make my transportation a lot easier. I also have had many dreams in which I'm flying, and even though it is just a dream, those dreams always feel real to me. I love super heros, and watching movies of Super Man, Wonder Woman, Iron Man, and even watching the Disney movie, Aladin, made me wish that I could fly since I was a little girl. I am a very outgoing and spontaneous person, and my free-spirit personality, allows me to enjoy activities like this that may give me a "rush".
ReplyDeleteThe superpower I would chose would be being able to be being at different places at once, this would help me a lot since I would be able to do a lot of things at the same time too. There are times where I would like to be at home but I can't because I have to go to class. Or sometimes I would like to be hanging out with my friends but I have to stay home and do a paper, or work on my homework.
ReplyDeleteIt will be a lot of help since there are a lot of times where I wished I was able to be at different places at the same time.
The superpower that I would choose would be invisibility. The reason I choose invisibility is because it is a bit easier to sneak around places. Not illegal places or trying to sneak in or out of the house, it is more so to scare people or if I'm trying to avoid someone I can just turn invisible. Another thing would be if I don't feel like talking to anyone and all I want to do is be alone I could just turn invisible and no one will bother me. Also if I think something is wrong with someone I would use my power to turn invisible to see what they're doing just in case it is bad. I would love to have the power of invisibility.
ReplyDeleteIf I could have any super power, I would choose to be able to teleport. It would make time management a lot easier and you would never have to wait in traffic! If you needed to be somewhere at a certain time then you don't have to leave extra early due to traffic or weather conditions because I would be wherever I need to be in a matter of seconds.
ReplyDeleteIf i could have any superpower I would choose to be super fast. I chose this because i could be anywhere in a split second and wouldnt have traffic or gas to worry about. I could mess with my friends and move things without them knowing. I would also use my power for good. i would save people from burning buildings and other dangerous situations. My life would be awesome if I was super fast. :)
ReplyDeleteIf I had any superpower it would be the ability to fly. Flying everywhere would be so much easier than driving or walking. I would be able to get everywhere alot faster than I do now. I would save alot of time and flying would save gas also. It would be helping the enviormnent by notn using gas to drive. Also just imagine how fun flying would be. i wouldnt have to pay to travel out of town also. Flying wopuld make everything alot easier.
ReplyDeleteTalking to cats would be the best superpower ever! Considering there is about ten cats in my backyard, I think it would be cool to know what they want to tell me. Also, I know exactly what my two indoor cats would say! One would say "Pet me! Pet me!" and the other, "Feed me! Feed me!" However, if I could talk "cat", then I'll know why my cat hates babies so much. Or why my other cat enjoys running out the door wen he isn't supposed to. People would also pay me to talk to their cat, it's like a bonus to having that superpower.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever seen the movie limitless? Well for those who havent seen limitless it is a movie about a man who takes a drug that will let him access 100 percent of his brain. Well if i could have a superpower my superpower would be to access 100% of my brain all the time without having to take a drug. I think it would be amazing to be so smart and be able to remember everything. I mean how amazing would it be!!!! I love learning and i love intellectual things in life so i think that this superpower would be the best superpower for me.
ReplyDeleteIf I could posses any superpower, I would want the ability to breath underwater. I love being in the water and diving so with this superpower I could be underwater for hours on end. Even though I would not be able to go too far down in the ocean but it would be fun swimming throughout the ocean without worrying about coming back up for air. This would be even more useful for when I go surfing and get pulled down by two sets of waves. I would not have to be nervous and figure out which way is up and conserving my air while waiting for the set of waves to pass
ReplyDeleteIf i could have any superpower I would want to be able to fly or transport. One big reason why is so i could go anywhere I want without paying for gas. Also I wouldn't have to worry about time because if I had to be somewhere fast I wouldn't have to rush getting ready and worry about traffic because I could get fly or transport there. It would be even better if when I transport, I could bring people with me instead of me just going by myself places. Transporting myself all the time is like having a one seater car or taking a bike places, no one to have an adventure with.
ReplyDeleteIf i could have any superpower I would want the ability to fly or teleport. It'll make my life so much easier. It'll save me a lot of time. Actually I'd be Goku from Drangonball Z. He's gnarly. He could do almost everything hes fast, he could fly and teleport and he has some gnarly super powers that could kill people too. So yea I would want to be Goku and have all his powers
ReplyDeleteIf I could have a super power, I would choose mind reading. It would be cool to know what people were thinking all the time instead of always having to guess. This would help in my careers and with relationships and in school. The only downfall would be that sometimes I may know too much. If someone was thinking bad thoughts about me that I didn't want to hear then I would get upset. I could get in situations where I lose friendships and ultimately tell my secret of being able to read peoples minds. It would be hard to not tell people that I know what they are thinking.
ReplyDeleteThe super power I would wish to have is the power to have anything I wanted whenever i wanted with very LIMITED restrictions. I just think it would be great to have this power bceause I could live life without too much struggles and be able to have all the things i wish that i could of had in the past. If I had this power i would not be too greedy. I would use my power for good and also help those in need like any of my family and friends, so we can all have what we want and be satisfied.

ReplyDeleteThe super power I would like to have is to be able to teleport/fly. Not only will it save me time going from place to place, but it will help me to be able to travel the world. I would love to visit different parts of the world, learn their culture and live the way they must live everyday. Everyone has a story to tell, and I would love to listen to different ones from all over the world.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to choose a superpower, I would say the ability to travel through time, not by the influence of Hiro from the TV show Heroes, but rather how exciting or devastating it would be to see and experience the past, present and the future. If something dangerous were to happen in the future, I would go back into the present to warn everyone, no matter how crazy they'll think I am.
ReplyDeleteIf I were be able to have a super power, I would like to choose the ability to control the water, like being a "Water Man". I can easily transfer my body into water when I got attacked, and create an ice block to protect the people I loved when they are in danger. I can also drown the people that I hated. Actually, I got inspired from a Japanese comic. There is a man that had this ability and freeze everything and break them into pieces easily. I think it was so cool.
ReplyDeleteIf I could have a superpower, I would choose the ability to fly. If I could fly, I would fly back to my home in China and stay with my family, I am not worry how to pass the 13hours in the air plane, and I also not worry if I cannot take plane in time. If I could fly, I would fly to the place which I want to go. I could go to Iraq to see how those people live with the war. I could go to Italy to watch the fashion week. I could go to the moon to see is there really have alien......... If I can fly, that will be really exciting.
ReplyDeleteIf I could have a superpower I would love to have the invisibility power. If I did not want to be seen or found I would just turn invisible and not worry about anybody. This would especially come in handy when my friends need me to take me some where but I don't want to do it, I would just poof and be gone. I could also sneak around places, see things I'm not suppose to see and hear secrets. It'll be great because I could see who was really my friend or a fake person. I could also scare people and act like a ghost if I had nothing to do and I was bored.
ReplyDeleteIf I could have any super power in the world, it would be teleportation. I want to be able to teleport anywhere and everywhere. That would be amazing. I get really impatient at time, so this would be the perfect super power for me. Driving or taking the bus takes forever, especially when there’s traffic. Being able to teleport would make my life so much easier. I would be able to spend more time doing whatever I’m doing, and then at the last minute, I can teleport and not be late. I can also teleport to far places. Being able to teleport will save me money and time. This sounds horrible, but if I could teleport, I would use it to get away from people that annoy me ALL THE TIME. I’ll just simply tell them “ I need to go “, and then teleport off.
ReplyDeleteIf I could have a super power.. it'd be teleporting, or flying. I'm a lazy person.. what gives! Teleportation could get me anywhere at any time. Mostly, it saves me from being late to class, and end up skipping it. I don't like to drive, feared that I might crash into something or someone, so teleporting sure would be helpful. And, say what if something bad has happened to someone you hold dearly? It would be perfect if I could just, zap, and I'm there!
ReplyDeleteAs for flying, I've always wanted to know what birds feel like. They're so free and relaxed. Whenever I'm stressed, I wish I could get away from everybody, from the noise in the city. The best place would be up in the sky, in the open where no one is. Also, It has always been my dream to travel everywhere, so flying would be so handful.
If I could have a super power, it definitely would be teleportation. Just imagine how convenient it would be to be able to teleport myself to anywhere I want in a split of second with only a thought. Never need to worry about getting up early in order to catch the bus, avoid traffic and most importantly, save all that time we spend on the vehicle to do other stuff. With all that extra time, I get to do anything I want. I can play longer, study with less stress due to the extra time and sleep longer. It would be awesome to be able to bound from place to place, from planet to planet, from universe to universe.
ReplyDeleteIf I could have a super power, it would be the power of a character called Hazama from Blazblue. The character has a power called Nox Nyxtores: Ouroboros, which is basically a never ending chain that can be shot out of thin air. It can be used for all sorts of maneuvers such as grappling. It differs from other grappling super powers such as Spider Man's web sling by the virtue of being able to latch onto thin air. The Nox Nytores also has a side benefit of granting the powers of being able to directly attack the mind of another person as well as summoning green/black serpentine phantoms to defend/attack foes.
ReplyDeleteIf we lived in a world where everyone had superpowers my power of choice would be telepathy and telekinesis. The mind is such a powerful tool that we have as humans and being able to add to that power would be an added plus to my life. Telepathy would be useful because I would be able to read peoples thoughts, so that could be another form of communication, I could implant information into their mind, and if one day I'm feeling a little evil I can make people bend to my will. Telekinesis is another mental ability but this power is more aggressive than passive, telekinesis is the ability to move object with your mind. This would be useful for many different reasons: I could reduce my carbon footprint because I can fly where ever I want to go instead of using a car, I could do multiple things at one time, and if I really wanted to I can help the human population (like most people with special gifts).
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a little child, I hoped I can fly. why I wanted to fly at that time? The reason was I wanted to know more about the world I live and fly could help me get a top view from a high attitude in sky. The attitude is so high that I can see lots of thing I had never found or get another observation I have never had. Now, I am no a child anymore, but I still eager to have this superpower, surely the reason is changed. Flying can help me to come back home fast and provides me more opportunities to go home and see my parents. What's more, I can escape from the crowed city as soon as possible and to be free.
ReplyDeleteIf I could have any super power I would have to choose the ability to teleport to any desired destination. I considered super strength, mind reading and flying, but teleportation is definitely the best choice in my case. I absolutely love travelling, so if I had the chance to just suddenly appear in the canals of Venice, Italy then to the top of Paris' Eiffel Tower, my life would be made! Even though teleportation is not a super power I could necessarily save the day with, I would love to just attain it for personal use. I mean think of all the money I would save on plane tickets! If I had this super power I could accomplish so many things on my bucket list, like seeing the Great Wall of China, Aurora Borealis in Alaska, The Blue Grotto in Italy, to the White Cliffs of Dover in England. I like this super power because no strings are attached with it. I don't need a fancy suit, a super villain, or an array of people in need of my help. Of course if someone mentions the recent movie "Jumper", that will be a different story. I would want to be more like how Hayden Christensen's character is at the beginning of the movie, relaxed and living the life.
ReplyDeleteI have two that I would like. I would love to be able to speak every language power, having a switch that'll change my language. I would also love to be able to teleport. Both of these are so useful to me. Some of my friends, and other people I know, they begin talking in another language, and I'm totally out the conversation. I also sometimes think that people are talking about me, since they don't want to talk in English. If I could speak their language, then I would know it all. I would want to teleport, because there are so many places that I want to go to in an exact moment, like Disneyland!! Teleporting would also save me a lot of money. I wouldn't want any outfit to go with my powers... I would want it to remain where I seem "normal".
ReplyDeleteFlight. If I ever had the chance to have a superpower, it would be flight. I would be able to travel anywhere whenever I like, not having to deal with traffic. I wouldn't need a car, ride the bus, buy plane tickets, or run up sets of stairs. It would be the best thing ever. I could see the world from a whole new perspective. The speed doesn't even matter as well, if I could only fly 10mph - I would still be flying! My best friend made on of the best points ever. No matter how slow you would have to fly... YOU COULD NEVER TRIP/FALL. No more looking stupid or worrying about heights. It would be amazing!
ReplyDeleteI think the super power i would choose would be to control water. Like water benders from Avatar: The Last Airbender, it would be a fun power to have. Especially since you can also blood bend, and take water out of plants and even from the air. Imagine being in a situation where you're being chased by villainous characters on a hot day, and there is no water around you can bend, you can use your own body sweat! It is very convenient to water bend, since you can find water pretty much anywhere. You can even turn the water into ice! So yes, I would like the power to control water because it is very convenient and it can come in handy whenever needed.
ReplyDeleteThe superpower I'd choose is the power to control time. With the mastery of time in my pocket I could become one of the richest man in the world by getting a few winning lottery ticket numbers and going back a day to win. I could stop any crime by freezing time walking up to the criminal and simply put the handcuff on them. I could also become the worst super villain and freeze time and escape every crime scene, or just stop time and go and lift everyone’s wallet.
ReplyDeleteIf I could have any super power it would be knowledge. My favorite super hero is Batman for that exact reason, he may not have any “cool” super power but his intelligence is all he needs. In order to fight crime, it is no use to have the ability to fly, super speed or invisibility if you do not know how to utilize it or if it is all you have. With knowledge there are endless possibilities when reaching for success and it is also crucial for survival. The greatest thing in this world is knowledge and to have it as a super power would be absolutely great.
ReplyDeleteThe power/ability that I would most like to have is one of the ocular bloodline limits (hereditary ability) known as the Byakugan, from the manga series Naruto. Unlike the other two major eye powers (i.e. Sharingan and the Rinnegan) one does not need to experience a traumatic event in order to awaken their powers and become (presumably) available with a certain amount of training. The abilities bestowed by the Byakugan allows one to have 359’ degrees of vision, allows one to see all of the chakra points (essentially pressure points that store and form energy) on another person’s body, gives x-ray vision and allows one to see great amounts of distance(it also happens to look really cool lol). The Gentle Fist fighting style that arises from it is also another reason I would choose the Byakugan as it employs all of the Byakugan’s abilities very effectively, essentially becoming an “attrition tank” of sorts, and the style itself has a unique grace and form that I’ve always found very appealing.
ReplyDeleteIf I could choose any superpower, I would definitely choose the ability to speak every language. From human languages to animal languages, I would like to speak it all. Reason being is because my parents are able to speak multiple languages fluently. My father is a trilingual, being able to speak 3 languages fluently, and mother is a quadrilingual, which means she can speak 4 languages fluently. There's never been a day where I wasn't impressed by my parent's ability to speak multiple languages.
ReplyDeleteI will like to have a superpower that allows me to print out any images that I capture with my eyes, so that I can do away with my phone and also the digital camera or even the DSLR. A camera in my opinion, can never capture the same feeling and view that our eyes are taking in, even with the powerful zoom features. It always seem weird to me that both my camera and my eyes are positioned in the same view but when I captured it with the camera, it turns out different from what I see with my own eyes.
ReplyDeleteWith this super power, I can also go to concerts and snap photos of my favorite singer and have it printed out or saved to my laptop or cloud storage and I will also not risk being catch by the security guard for the possession of cameras as some venues do not allow photo-taking or video recording during a concert.
If I could have any super power it would have to be speed powers. If I could do anything faster than I can now, it would make my life easier. I would be able to do more things and have more time to relax. As a way to help others I could get somewhere on time if anyone needs anything. Not only would it make my life easier, but it can increase my possibilities to travel around the world and enjoy my life better.
ReplyDeleteIf I could have any super power, I would want to be able to have morphing abilities. I could change into any animal, or person or race or thing that I wanted to be.
ReplyDeleteIf I was to be blessed with a super power, I would hope to have some sort of reactive adaptation/evolution. This ability enables the person to develop a resistance or immunity to whatever they were injured by or exposed to. Even though the the effect can vary between temporary and permanent, I believe it is a very neat power.
ReplyDeleteIs it cheating if I say I would want the superpower to be able to choose a different superpower every day? There are so many interesting powers to choose from. One day, it might be beneficial for me to teleport somewhere. Say I'm getting homesick and I want to visit family, or get struck with irresistible wanderlust. Another day, it may be beneficial for me to read people's minds. Say I'm on a date with a new guy and I want to know his intentions... mind reading to the rescue!
ReplyDeleteThis would ultimately be the best power for me because I am such an indecisive person. I like to be able to change according to the day and I worry that if I commit to any one power that I will have a bit of FOMO.
For some reason I showed up as "unknown" but Megan Bruehl wrote this post!
DeleteOkay I will be the guy who is going to beat all of your powers and have the power to control and manipulate reality so I can do anything, create anything, and destroy anything and if I cant destroy it I can just erase it from reality all together.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a super power, I want the power of getting A in your class. Currently, I am in the border of 89%. If my past homework is my guide to my future grades, I just can’t win. It will probably take superhuman powers to break 90%, which I hope to do with 3 more major essays. Hope might be the only super power here.
ReplyDeleteIt might be learning how to write or learning to analyze are two Achilles heels that I may have, but I do enjoy writing these essays (or any other essays). Maybe, I care too much about my analysis. Maybe, that is the point of writing in this class, regardless the grade. Maybe, it is hope that I want to believe that I am getting better (and grade wise) is what pushes me to write and care about these essays. Maybe. Still, if I get an A in the class, it might be the icing on top of the already-delicious-cake. It would mean the meaningless hours that are spent on writing the essay and caring about the analysis (and cutting it to a million pieces, only to turn in 1/10th of what I wrote) wouldn’t go to waste.
Maybe, in reality, writing well and coherently is the super power that I am really asking to receive. Maybe.
The super power that I would choose to have would be the ability to create and bend light to my very whim. Having this ability would give me the power to change the way anything looks, look as though I can create an object out of thin air, and change how anything might be perceived by the eye. If for instance I chose to have red hair, I would then look as though my hair is truly red. Another instance would be the ability to mask my visual presence and make myself appear invisible. I could make anything and anyone invisible if I wanted to, or change an objects appearance completely. While, I could change the visual appearance of anything in my vicinity, I wouldn't be changing the physical object itself. For example, I could make myself appear taller, however in reality my physical height does not change at all. So while this ability would give me full creative freedom over the visual world, it would not effectively turn the entirety of the world into my sandbox.
ReplyDeleteThat's kind of a hard question to answer simply because there are so many super powers i'd like to have for so many different reasons. But say it was for my own personal gains, i'd have the power of immortality. I'd choose the super power of immortality because by being able to live forever I would be able to accomplish all my life goals. I'd be able to become as rich and as successful as I'd want because id have all of the time in the world to do so. I'd even be able to live the future that no one else would be able to live or even dream of. The only thing that seems kind of hard for me is the fact of meeting someone and falling in love with them. That being said i'd outlive them and watch them decay while I stay young and strong. That would be the only true challenge and negative part of this super power, the emotional stress I might go through. I'd see death all around me but I'd have the opportunity to create life and a better world in the day of tomorrow for each and every day I live.
ReplyDeleteThere are many super powers I would like to have for numerous reasons. But if I had to choose one, it would be the power of duplication. The duplicates would think, feel, and act independently, though usually guided by the original. If I had the power of duplication, I would accomplish various goals at the same time. Being a dancer, I always wondered what it would be like if someone were able to duplicate themselves. Imagine if you and duplicates of yourself made up a whole dance team? Or beyond that. Imagine being your own team in sports, being your own army for battle, etc. Additionally, in terms of using this superpower for justice, imagine being able to deal with multiple crimes at the same time? I know that with this power, it still makes me vulnerable if I were to get hurt in anyway. However, if I could choose any superpower, I would still decide with the same answer.
ReplyDeleteif i had a choice to choose a super power i would want to be a intelligent student in the world who want to know a whole knowledge around the world.
ReplyDeleteIf I had the choice to have a superpower I would choose to predict the future. By predicting the future after a certain decision I make, be it seeing up to a few minutes to days forward in time. This could be done when I'm dreaming or closing my eyes, and seeing what happens after I do something, and how that would affect my future. I would like to have this power because it would give me the safety of doing anything I want and seeing the consequences. I could easily change what happens to evaluate my options. Whether it be to saying something to someone,I could fix things that might have gone haywire before I knew what was going to happen.
ReplyDeleteI would choose the ability to freeze time. But there’d be limitations. I would be able to continue moving around in the moment in time that I’ve stopped in, but everyone else would be frozen in time, unable to move, unaware of what is going on. Once I start time moving again, everyone would be able to continue living, but they would not know that time had stopped or what had happened when time was stopped. This would be beneficial for when I’m late on homework, I could stop time and continue working. Or maybe I want to keep sleeping in the morning, I would be able to do that.
ReplyDeleteI also considered the idea that I would continue aging during the moment in time I’m frozen in. However, time itself is stopped, so the aging process wouldn’t advance since I’m not getting any older.
I would choose the ability to read someone’s mind! With this superpower, I would have conversation with successful people to find out how they thrived. Also, many of us sometimes decide to hide how we really feel and wanted others to read our minds instead. Well, this ability would also help me achieve healthy relationship with family and friends. Lastly, don’t we want to avoid falling from someone’s made up stories?
ReplyDeleteI would choose the ability to teleport to anywhere I wanted. If I had this ability I could travel all over the world while avoiding travel expenses and I would never be stuck in any traffic. Who wouldn't want this ability? No matter where you are you can be somewhere else in an instant. The only problem that I could see with that power would be that you can't really see where you're going to land. Guess you could teleport back to your original position if you landed in the middle of the ocean or air.
ReplyDeleteIf I could choose to have any superpower, it would be to have immortality, like Thanos. Imagine how far I could expand my traits if time was not against me. I would become very wise but still be, physically, young. I would be able to learn many things that people dedicate their whole lives to do. Immortality could mean having endless amount of superpowers, only thing is that I would have to earn my skills instead of having them given. I would never outlive my "prime". A life of prime abilities sounds like a life I would never want to leave..
ReplyDeleteIf I were to be able to chose any superpower in the world it would be the ability to fly, I wouldn't care if I got wings, the general ability to levitate, if it was some other weird ability that allowed me to do it. But the ability to fly however I got it would probably be the greatest thing in the world to me, I would probably also abuse the hell out o this power by randomly flying off or dive bombing people just because I could, because why not? I would probably never walk anywhere again if I gained this superpower, I would also probably avoid cars as much as possible because why in gods name would I want to be in a cramped car when you could FLY?!
ReplyDeleteWhenever I get asked this question the answer I go to is, and always will be, control over the time-stream. Rather control over everyone's time-stream. What I mean is, when you are alive your life becomes one big timeline full of huge life events, opportunities, and mistakes. But what if you could erase those mistakes from your timeline thus changing it for the better. What if you could change your own personal timeline without affecting other people's. Growing up, I wasn't given a second chance at my mistakes. That's why I want to have this power because I know other people weren't allowed a second chance like myself and I know how difficult that could be. But something must be considered as well. Someone once said, "here's the thing about time: If you can't make the most out of any given moment, then you don't deserve a single extra second."
ReplyDeleteI would choose the ability to time travel. Even if this power was limited to only 24 hours in the past, it would still be incredibly useful. For example, it would allow me to undo any mistake or accident that recently occurred.
ReplyDeleteI could also use it to save lives, by going back in time and warning people of disasters.
It would also be relatively easy to amass wealth, I could simply go back in time and invest in stocks or place bets that I know will lead to large payouts.
On a more mundane note, as a procrastinator it would give me an infinite amount of time to do homework and study (if the deadlines approaches, just go back a day or two).
My superpower would be to travel through dreams (and no I did not get this from Inception), being able to experience what other people see in their dreams is amazing, like seeing their memories, their hopes, etc. On the other hand, the downside is that I could be trapped in a nightmare, but hey I don't like them, they inspire me even more.
ReplyDeleteI would choose the ability to freeze time outside a given space indefinitely. All powers have to have a limitation or you'd might well be a god so my power would allow for time to be frozen everywhere other than say a room or a house and all that I have to work with is whats in that given space. If I were to leave the space time would revert to normal. In this time bubble I would also age normally and thus would not want to use my power often for fear of ageing before my time. This would be the power I'd choose because as a student it would allow me to have lots of time for assignments as long as I provided myself with all the resources and necessities in my room for that amount of time. While it may not be practical for saving the world, it would be most effective to someone with a lot of deadlines.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a super power it would be the ability to make copies of myself to do whatever I want. They would be exact copies and when they disappeared I would get whatever knowledge or experiences they had. I could have some copies do homework and go to class and others to do chores. I would be able to skip class and go to class at the same time. I would be able to read 10 books at once. I could hang out with all my friends at the same time. I could make a big group of me if there was anyone threatening. I could make an army of me if I wanted to get what I want.
ReplyDeleteWhen this question comes up whether it be in conversation or in written format, people tend to think they are limited in what they choose their power to be. For example, someone might say super strength or the ability to fly. Well, I want the power to be Cable from X-men. That dude is straight crazy. He has telekinesis, he can go into people minds, he's an expert marksman, he virtually has super strength, he can manipulate technology, and oh yeah he's a time traveler. If the time ever arises for me to choose, best believe I'm taking Cable over anyone any day.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose, my top 3 would definitely be: Immortality, the ability to heal and regrow parts(Like Deadpool), and teleportation. Immortality I would choose because I am curious what will happen to the human race, will we ever take humanity to another planet in order to escape the sun's demise? Or will we burn along with Mercury and Venus? Either way I have teleportation so I can take who I want with me to a livable planet at anytime. Regeneration because if something ever does happen to me such as getting my arm cut off, I'll still live because I'm immortal, but I want to live to the fullest, which means with all limbs and perfectly healthy. Teleportation can be used in so many ways, not just getting one place to another. For example if I fall into a well and no one is around to pull me out, I can teleport. I can use it to get out of dangerous situations and assess the situation to see what my next move is; or I can just use it to hang out with friends rather than driving all the way to them.
ReplyDeleteOh and make shadow clones, like in Naruto. He makes fake clones of himself that can do anything he can, but if they get hit hard then they disappear with a poof of smoke. These clones not only do as the original wants, but they have a joined experience, so for example, if 2 shadow clones practice soccer for an hour with the original(making 3 in total) then the experience he would gain is from all three, making it a total of 3 hours experience. This can be applied to anything.
DeleteIf I could choose any superpower I would want to become a shape-shifter like Mystic from X-Men, although I would want to be able to turn into literally anything, like a car, animal, or a piece of furniture. I would be able to look like anything and anyone. I could be as tiny as a flea or as big as a fire truck. I'd be able to go anywhere and do anything I want. I could have some fun and turn into a celebrity and live their life. Could you imagine the reaction of the actual celebrity watching themselves be somewhere they knew they weren't at? It would be priceless. I could also turn into a bird and be able to fly, or turn into a fish and explore the ocean. Adventures would be endless for me. I could make so many new discoveries.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many superpowers out there that are so cool everyone would wish to have like invisibility, flying or strength. I’ve been asked several times if I could have superpowers what would it be and I always answer being able to read minds. I thought this power is super cool, especially knowing what your hated person is thinking and can create a perfect comeback. However words hurt, you may also see something you don't want to see, also to freely read someone’s memories or experiences, especially the bad one, from the past is something you simple can’t do, you should respect someone’s privacy. But in the bright side it’s easy to to communicate with anybody who speaks in a different language, and even animals. Otherwise, if being able to control the four elements (fire. Water, earth and air) then I would choose that as my superpower. That includes healing, transforming to any kind and being able to control nature.
ReplyDeleteAll listed abilities are very powerful. Who would not like to be invisible? This power would be so helpful in many situations, for example in the dangerous situations like robbery. Or the ability to speak fluently in so many languages? Speaking many languages was also my child dream. When I was a child I always thought and dreamed about all superpowers. Every time I would wish some different one. However, if I had to choose the superpower now, I would choose the ability to heal diseases. No matter how critical or minor health problem person had I would be able to make him healthy again. That power would make many people so happy and solve so many problems. I wish I had that ability, so my ability would benefit people and make me very happy.
ReplyDeleteIf I had the choice of obtaining a superpower, it would be super human strength. If I was super strong I would immediately become a superman-like hero to the world. Whats not to love about being a super hero? You get fame, possibly money, and all the attention you want. Having super human strength can also help with daily tasks like opening a mayonnaise jar. Not only that but it comes with the aesthetics of being super strong. You'll get all the girls 'mirin your epic strength. Lastly, since you have super human strength, your probably the strongest person in the world. Who wouldn't brag about that? I know I would.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to have a superpower, I would like to have one where I could enter people's minds to see what their mindscape looks like. Everybody has had a world of their own, their own Wonderland if you will, at one point in their lives or another. It is a place where we let our imagination run wild, dreaming of fantastical adventures with our favorite people by our side. Unfortunately, those Wonderlands never stay as the bright paradise we envision it to be. It slowly warps and twists into something so ugly, that it becomes nearly unrecognizable as we grow older.
ReplyDeleteTo see how the mind has changed in reflection to events that have occurred in one's life would be fascinating and would provide infinite amounts of inspiration for various art projects, however it would no doubt be dangerous, due to mind potentially having some sort of defense to flush out foreign anomalies.
*due to the mind

DeleteMy choose will be: The ability to read others mind! I always want to know what others are thinking, what others think about me or some issue. If i have this ability, I am able to act to achieve a lot of stuff. For example: Get a beautiful girl friend, get the job opportunity, get an A in class...etc.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose a superpower, I would want to have the ability to rewind time. I've had countless moments where I experienced embarrassing moments or made bad/unfavorable decisions, so being able to reverse time and avoid those situations is something I've always thought about in my dreams. I've also wondered how the outcomes of my choices would be different if I chose to do something else, like having a decision between two events on the same day and seeing which one I would prefer to go to. Also, I could use this power to be my own superhero and be able to help people or prevent them from being hurt. For example, if I witnessed someone crossing the street and being hit by a car, I could rewind time and pull them to safety.
ReplyDeleteJust like this post, I really want to have the power to speak and understand any form of languages (however only limited to human languages). The reason for this is because I believe language is a strong factor that can help you understand foreign people and become more immerse in foreign cultures. Furthermore, being able to speak many languages means that I can make better business partnership because I know that in China you can have better deals if you can speak chinese. Lastly, the reason for this is because I love Kpop (korean pop) and I always want to be fluent in Korean so when I watch korean movies, listen to korean songs, or watch korean variety shows , I can understand what the idols are saying without looking at the subtitle.
ReplyDeleteImagine being in two places at once and sharing the experience and memories of each given moment. The power of replication would strongly suit my lifestyle. I inconvenience myself by making too many plans in too little of a time period. My homework could be completed at the same time as hanging out with my boyfriend, all while I could also be making money at my job. Replication would be a means of keeping sane within such a crazy world, while not disappointing my friends or family. I am sure that there would be drawbacks to this superpower, such as an overwhelming accumulation of memories all at once and could be detrimental to your health if exploited. However, I, myself, have anxiety and this would allow for my thoughts not to roam places that cannot be changed. This superpower may as well be a means of manipulating the world we live in, yet it would most likely exert not just physical energy, but also take a toll on your mental and emotional capacity. I believe it would be worth the risk. After all, you have complete control of whether I wish to use the replication or not - knowledge is power.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to have any superpower it would be super speed. Super speed would give the user enough time to study anything they want. As time is perceived more slowly, the more the user is able to accomplish. I would argue that it's possible for someone with super speed to learn at least a dozen or more languages within a week just by studying while using powers. I think the only limitations would be college as it's on a fixed time. By using your powers, you finish the assignments early but won't be able to progress to the next classes assignments. So a lot of the learning would be done outside of class. I think this power would be good for learning anything as well as passing all your classes with an A because you are able to put more time into them.
ReplyDeleteHaving control over time would be the superpower I choose if I were to have one. Being able to rewind, pause and skip time might give a little help in solving my problems. Imagine being in a very harsh situation with very little amount of time to think. Pausing the time may help you relax a bit and actually think it through. However, I will try my best not to mess with the rewind and skip button unless they are really needed. Changing the past might ruin the future and skipping the moment means you will miss out some of the great times.
ReplyDeleteSuperheroes might also need my help when facing the villain. As I pause the time, they have a chance to figure out a strategy to fight back.
Since I grew up watching Anime including Dragon Ball, Naruto, Death Note, I am influenced by a very crazy superpower and I would like to have KAGE BUNSHIN, Art of the Doppelganger which is making a clone of myself as much as you can. Each clone has a same ability as the original and the clone's experience will return to the original. This is very useful because I can make one clone and study math while I, the original, am dancing in Brazil. If you make 100 copies and train math a day, the total of each person experiences is 4 hours(per a day)*100 copies = 400 hour which is 16 day while without this ability you only earn 4 hours of experiences.
ReplyDeleteThe superpower I require is to change my past and correct all my mistakes so that in present time I can live happily and with comfort and also can have all those people back whom i lost in past.
ReplyDeleteTravel Blogs
basically i would be superman lets be real he's the strongest. I would fly everywhere, go anywhere, heat up any piece of food i want at any moment. I dont think anyone would be able to beat me but thats okay, im always up for a good challenge.
ReplyDeletePicking a superpower is a hard choice, I think I would either want to shape shift or fly. Those have always been two things I think would be really cool if I could do them.
ReplyDeletei would choose to never die and teleport and shape shift and also fire power super speed and ice power also last but not least lightning.
ReplyDeleteI would choose the powers of the protagonist of the game Prototype "Alex Mercer" .
ReplyDeleteNearly invincible, super human strength, badass transformation powers and so on...
Personally, I would love to be able to fly. I think, ever since I was a child, I've wanted to fly into the sky and travel all around the world without the hassle and money needed to take a plane. Something about the idea of taking off at a whim whenever I need a moment to myself is so appealing to my mind that's already always in the clouds! Even if it isn't a cool superpower like super strength or laser vision, I think flying is a multi-purpose power that, if practiced and honed, can be used in a variety of situations, both dangerous and mundane.

ReplyDeleteIf I could choose to have any superpower, I would choose the ability to telepathically control the thoughts/behaviors of other people. Sort of like "mind-melding" on Star Trek. So I would want to be able to access someone else's consciousness as if I was temporarily them, or like they are a avatar from a video game (I think many people who've played 1st-person shooting or adventure games know what I'm trying to describe). Like borrowing someone else's brain for a while. I think it would be cool enough just to enter their consciousness but it would be useful because if you can both read someone's thoughts and control their behavior, you could stop mass shootings or stop other tragedies (at least temporarily). The ability would probably have to be both powerful, and I would need to have some level of voluntary control over who I "tuned into" for it to be useful. Otherwise, it would almost be a curse because you would know enough to be "miserably knowing" vs. blissfully ignorant, and I think it would be traumatic to feel like maybe you could have stopped bad things from happening if you can control other people's behavior. I also would hope that I could make people forget I mind-controlled them because it would probably be mentally violating to have someone else take over your behavior, and it could disturb or traumatize the person being controlled. So I would either have to get their okay first, or I would have to become like hostage negotiator, or psychologist to justify overtaking someone else's agency for an emergency reason. I think superpowers sound fun in theory, but the responsibility of how to use your abilities humanely would be very stressful.
If i could choose any superpower it would be able the power to time travel so I could go back in time and guide my young reckless self into the right direction. I would tell my past self to focus on school and don't give more importance to friends and partying. Also, when I get behind the wheel or own my first vehicle to be responsible with it. This would be to save myself all the disappointment and struggles I had to go through, everything would go smoother. After helping myself out I wouldn't mess with anything else since it could alter the future
ReplyDeleteTHOMAS CROWN STOLE ONE MASTERPIECE, PROFESSOR STEELE TAKES THEM ALL
ReplyDeletePress Release from PSI Publishing Inc.
“What SuperPower Would You Choose: To Fly or to Be Invisible?”
Imagine a world where SuperPowers are not just the stuff of comic books and movies but a reality. What if you could choose between the ability to fly or to become invisible? This is the thrilling premise of Roger E. Pedersen's captivating sci-fi dystopian book series, "SuperPower: The Ability to Fly or to Become Invisible." Let's discover what makes Pedersen's work stand out in the crowded genre of sci-fi and dystopian fiction.
Roger E. Pedersen's journey to becoming an author is as extraordinary as the stories he writes. Finding himself homeless but armed with a laptop, Pedersen turned his free time into a creative outlet, creating a series that explores human ambition and superhuman abilities. His series includes "SuperPower: The Ability to Fly or to Become Invisible: The Next Generation," where the next generation goes where no SuperPower has gone before; "The Golden Eagle Has Yielded," which tells of a SuperPowered supermodel scorned; "In Ashes, the Phoenix Eagle Shall Rise," which follows a journey from the moon and back to perform 12 Herculean tasks to win a wealthy lover; and "Three Weddings and a Funeral," where Hannibal Lecter had Clarice Starling, and Professor Steele has Myrena Gorgona.
Set in a post-pandemic world, the series starts with a prologue introducing Professor Steele. He is a wealthy philanthropist and a smart academic. Steele loves art and technology, so he teams up with FA-King, a top art expert, to plan a heist of valuable artworks. We also meet Paul Spence, a young banker falsely accused of stealing money. His life changes dramatically when he discovers he can become invisible by blinking three times quickly. This power helps him survive and seek revenge on those who wronged him. He uses his invisibility to pull off daring heists against the corrupt system.
Pedersen's series explores the good and bad sides of having SuperPowers. The ability to fly or become invisible raises important ethical questions. For Paul, invisibility is both a blessing and a curse. It helps him in tough situations, but also brings moral challenges. His writing is well-researched and entertaining. He provides detailed descriptions of art and banking, making the story informative. The humor throughout the series makes the characters relatable and enjoyable.
The series blends fact and fiction. It includes references to real-world questions, like a Forbes article asking, "Which SuperPower Would You Choose: To Fly or To Be Invisible?" This connection makes readers think about the deeper implications of these abilities. The prologue hints at a future where technology and human evolution mix in surprising ways. Professor Steele's "Babble Tongue computer chip" can translate languages in real-time, breaking communication barriers. This advanced technology contrasts with the timeless beauty of art, like da Vinci's Mona Lisa.
Roger E. Pedersen's "SuperPower: The Ability to Fly or to Become Invisible" is a great read for sci-fi and dystopian fiction fans. The series combines humor, research, and interesting characters to offer a fresh take on the genre. It entertains and makes readers think about the ethics of power and human resilience. You can find the books in eBook, audiobook, and softcover formats on Amazon, Google Play, B&N, Kobo, Target, Walmart, and many local bookstores. Dive into the world of SuperPowers and decide whether you would choose the ability to fly or become invisible.
